Still on the air...

Sorry about the radio silence here on the blog. The last couple weeks we've been reviewing the recent small broadcaster agreement offered up by Sound Exchange in place of the new royalty rates set by the Copyright Royalty Board. There are a lot of impacts on stations like ours that play a lot of indie music, but the good news is that it looks like Musical Justice is going to stay on the air. I'd like to thank everyone who called, faxed, wrote or e-mailed their Congress person in support. I don't think that the battle for equality for internet radio is going to stop, because we still have higher royalties than satellite or terrestrial radio. But I'm happy to say that we should be able to keep going and growing, at least through 2010.
