The Money Shot: 8.15.07

Today's headlines...

Where Are The Nirvana Baby, Korn's Little Girl And Others Now? (MTV)
The Money Shot: "Yeah, it's kind of creepy that that many people have seen me naked," Elden said. "I feel like I'm the world's biggest porn star."

Apparently No New Radiohead Album in 2007 (Pitchfork)
MS: Read it and weep if you must. But yes, according to a Teletext report, and despite rampant speculation, a Radiohead UK PR person has claimed that the band won't release its latest magnum opus until 2008. (A U.S. rep neither confirmed nor denied this).

Pete Doherty to appear on the Weakest Link? (NME)
MS: "People might not realise it, but I am well-educated and well-read. I can prove to people there is more to me than just drugs," Pete was reported to have said by a reputable hard news website this morning (August 15).

Meanwhile, a Mr. A. Source (him again) told the Daily Express: "Kate has this romantic notion of love and finds intelligence a huge turn-on. Pete thinks going on the show will prove to her that he does have the depth and IQ that she loves so much."

50 Cent Explains Last Week's Blowup (MTV)
MS: He also said he won't stop making solo albums even if Kanye West, whose album Graduation is due the same day as Curtis, outsells his LP, as had been reported.

While he called West a talented producer, he also said the Chicago MC is a "worker bee" while he's a "boss." 50 emphasized the importance of album sales, saying that West selling more would mean that "he did a better job than me on his album."

Coachella faces massive earthquake threat (NME)
MS: "There will be several thousand dead and billions of dollars in damage," Jones said. She also indicated that the quake could topple buildings as far away as Los Angeles, which lies 150 miles west, reports the Los Angeles Times.
