“People may say it’s not punk to use trumpets or accordions, but if you’re doing something different or something you think might be frowned upon by a lot of people, that’s upholding a punk mentality,” says Zollo. “I feel like it’s more punk to go to a show in a suit than it is to have a Mohawk and a skateboard,” says Clark. “Punk was a way of life, now it’s a genre.”
